I am Georges Gustave Joy, born James Compère Maublanc. A French playwright, member of the SACD, and certified by the Universities of Cambridge and Michigan in playwriting.

 

My work consists of three plays exploring the depths of madness, family secrets, and death ... including a reimagined version of Joan of Arc, told through the eyes of an Englishman and a Burgundian.

 

While I am not yet bilingual, I work toward it every single day. Mastering this language is a crucial objective for me; it is, and has always been, my favorite language.

 

As an artist committed to art and culture, I also perform, drawing from eight years of theater training. Recently, I have begun sharing this passion by teaching the craft through private lessons.

 

Driven by a love for learning and a deep sense of curiosity, I regularly invest in new training to sharpen my skills and acquire new ones. In my view, this constant evolution is what distinguishes a true teacher from a pretender.
